CONCEPT: GOOGLE HOME REMOTE
Because much of my work is confidential, I occasionally create quick concepts that allow me to showcase my love of technology and design. This is one of those.
A concept for a universal remote in the Google Home ecosystem. A simple to use WiFi remote that allows people to control their Google Home devices, TV, Cable, AV Receiver and more.
The most commonly used buttons are recessed, making them easy to identify without having to look down at the remote. The swipe interface in the middle allows you to quickly change channels (default).
Press the Volume button and swipe left or right to adjust the volume settings.
Hold your thumb on the swipe interface to turn on the mic and use the voice controls. The lights animate to let you know it's listening. Simply stop touching the swipe area to turn of the mic and resume normal use.
Simple controls and a soft touch fabric back make the Google Home Remote a pleasure to use and hold and maintain the clean aesthetic of the Home line of products.
