Early Mechanism Animatic
This early test animation was used to visualize how Grogu's head would look when moving with the soft collar. The video helped us answer questions from Marketing and Sr Management about how the character would look and move.
Design and Manufacturing Exploration
Through multiple versions of Grogu over the past few years, we were able to tune parting lines for a better appearance. With Animatronic the Child, schedules prevented us from doing a complex parting line like shown in Galactic Snackin' Grogu. There you'll see the parting line follows the curves of Grogu's wrinkles. In Wild Ridin' Grogu we were able to eliminate the parting line on the top of his head by focusing gameplay away from the mouth and ears and then using a soft PVC.
